AVON, Ind. -- According to the Society for Interventional Radiology varicose veins affect 1 out of 2 people age 50 or older. The issue of varicose veins for many is simply a cosmetic concern, yet for others varicose veins can cause severe pain, discomfort and at times can be a sign of other high risk circulatory problems.
Join us for a fascinating Week One at West on Wednesday, November 4th, at 11:30 am, for a seminar featuring Dr. Francis Marshalleck, MD, an interventional radiologist with the Indiana Radiology Partners. Dr. Marshalleck will discuss the basics of varicose veins and available treatment options. A light lunch will be catered by Clarian West's Garden Cafe. Advance registration is required.
Community outreach and health education are important components in Clarian West Medical Center's vision to provide the highest quality of care and service to patients, their families and the community.
Clarian West regularly participates in health screenings, community fairs and other outreach events, and Week One at West - our free monthly education and/or screening opportunity - is one more way to welcome community members into the hospital for valuable information, while sharing with them our remarkable Sanctuary of Healing environment.
Details of future Week One at West lunch and learn sessions, which are generally held the first week of each month at Clarian West Medical Center in Avon, will be available in the near future. You may also visit Week One at West online to see what topics are lined up for the remainder of 2009.
There is no cost to attend, but seating is limited. Community members wishing to attend the next Week One at West event are asked to reserve a space in advance by calling (317) 217-3627.
Please Note: This month's Week One at West seminar will be held in a new location - the Terrace Classroom. Please look for directional signage upon arrival to Clarian West, so we can ensure you arrive at your destination directly.
