This
position is responsible for applying ionizing radiation
to patients for therapeutic purposes. In this position,
you would control the exact amount of radiation to be
administered locally and reproduce treatment fields,
ensuring that exposure is made only to prescribed areas.
This position requires:
- Certification in Radiation Therapy, or requires
RT with extensive background in Radiation Oncology
- Extensive knowledge of the technical aspects of
radiation oncology, which includes the operation
of complex equipment
- Ability to apply mathematical computation for
treatment planning and design production and implementation
of beam altering devices
- Ability to establish and maintain good patient
rapport
