In this position,
you would:
- Assist with laboratory
testing on patient specimens
- Provide information for
diagnosis and treatment
- Maintain records of performance
and utilize independent judgment to generate acceptable
test results
- Assist with development
and modification of procedures and assume additional
responsibilities when appropriate
To become a medical
technologist, you need to have:
- A bachelor's degree in
related science or a degree from an approved medical
laboratory associate degree program, and you will
need to become certified within 12 months of employment
- In-depth knowledge of
various laboratory techniques, procedures and quality
control
